Free and Open to the Public
Save the date for our third annual Naglee Park Open Studios on Sunday, June 10th, 2012! We have 30 artists participating! This year we will have a new feature: Kids' Art. One of our sites will focus on children's art and include children's activities.
Programs are available from the House of Bagels and The Garage, at the corner of E. San Carlos St. and S. 11th St.
Frances Schwab conceived the idea of a neighborhood open studios tour while walking Naglee Park and noticing the many artist's homes in our neighborhood. The free event's goals are to:
- Display and sell local art
- Encourage a sense of community
- Promote our artist friendly Naglee Park neighborhood

Art is where the heart is!" And our home and hearts are filled with a passion for expression. A song, a camera, a sewing machine, a pen and paper or an easel to enhance are the current vehicles for that expression. Whatever our medium, each piece is an invitation to join us in our world of texture, play, and color.

She taught him beading, drawing and painting. Since she passed away, he has concentrated on drawing Native Americans and adding a little of her spirit into every one he draws.
