I would not recommend Dr. Luu. I have not had good experiences with him, and know several others who have not liked him.

I do recommend Dr. Wayne Chan on Montpelier Drive, near what used to be Alexian Brothers Hospital, or Dr. Anthony Badame on Forest Avenue near O'Connor Hospital.

Kim Aldridge recommended Dr. Melnikoff at Forest & Bascom 286-4600. Dr. David Harris was strongly recommended - note that he is expensive

I go to Dr. Joseph Badame on Forest Avenue...
The man you spoke of is in the Near building on 14th street. He took over Dr. Quisenberry's practice when he retired. I know nothing about him

My wife & I have used Dr. Thomas Urban several times. He's at the medical building at 14th & Santa Clara, but I don't have his number, sorry.

I highly recommend Dr. David Harris at Age Defying Dermatology in Campbell (as I recall, the office is right around where Basom become Los Gatos Blvd; I think the cross street is White Oaks). Despite the cosmetic emphasis in his practice, he is very knowledgeable and sharp.

Earlier Summary 9/1/01

Here are the 3 responses to my request for a recommendation for a dermatologist:

1. Anthony Badame MD. I have been going to him for years and I highly recommend him..

2. Dr Carmel 510-797-4111 - pretty good for my needs (basal cell issues).

3. Recia Blumenkranz 650-323-0276 She's in Menlo Park - affiliated with Stanford U (I think she teaches there as well as does her private practice)

Thanks to all respondents.
